BRAND IDENTITY AND STRATEGY

Before you can make an impression, you have to first understand who you are.
Developing a strong brand identity and strategy is the key to business success.

REVLON PROFESSIONAL - INFLUENCER CAMPAIGN

The Revlon Professional Influencer Campaign is currently underway. This project has involved the conceptualisation of a new sub-brand, development of a campaign/brand strategy and associated assets and merchandise.

This project aims to build connections between Revlon Professionals, Salons and Social Media Influencers.

Due to the ongoing nature and confidentiality of the project, I'm unable to share many details for now, however here are a range of images from one of the concepts I put forward as part of the conceptualisation and strategic planning phase.

CRYPTIC SPEAKEASY RESTAURANT BRAND

Creating a full brand strategy isn't as easy as designing a logo. It comes from understanding the client brief, the brand identity and the target audience. Cryptic required a lot of research, understanding and thinking in order to do just that.

"Cryptic" is a 1920s style hidden bar, or speakeasy designed to not only provide fine food and beverages, but an exciting experience for diners. The branding and identity needed to reflect that goal. As a result, this project involved finalising the brand name, logo, identity and associated collateral (menus, merchandise, packaging etc).

The final logo was developed from the concept of a padlock, being unlocked by a skeleton key, with the two C's acting as the locking mechanism as the end of the logo. The colour palette chosen was in keeping with the gold and bling that was a big part of the 1920s hidden societies.

The completed brand identity included assets for both dine-in experiences and takeaway and was a really exciting and fun project to work on.

CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY PHOTOGRAPHY
- A REBRAND

The Center for Contemporary Photography rebrand project primarily involved producing a new logo and style. The brief was to create something unique, stylish and clean whilst maintaining a connection with the acronym of CCP and linkages with the original logo in terms of colour and style.

The new lettermarked designs created a more interesting form, gave the logo a unique 3D effect that supports the abstracation and contemporary look and feel associated with the organisation. The logo is also easy to read and adaptable in orientation, suitable for use in many forms of media.

The final logo was a much more sophisticated, contemporary and modern logo that will last the test of time and provide strength in marketability and public image.

BRISBANE BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY - Then & Now

I founded Brisbane Birth Photography in 2011 when I went full time as a professional photographer. The business when through a number of brand identities as the business and clientele evolved. The goal of the initial branding was to be friendly, illustrative in style and appealing to the target market - expectant mothers wanting beautiful photos.

As time passed however, the target market changed and the business leveled up - becoming a 6 figure business offering a large range of services from family photography to birth support. And with this, the business needed a new image.

Here you can see the transition from initial brand through to the final branding that was being used at the time that the business was closed in early 2021.

RJS FOTO - BRANDING & COLLATERAL

The RJS Foto project was completed for a local underwater photographer who needed a new logo concept, shirts, business cards and signage for his brand. The logo was designed to be professional and minimalistic, whilst also connecting back to the love of underwater work that they do.

The branding collateral then required concepts and designs for t-shirts, a banner to be used at a local market stall and business cards for handing out. Each item was carefully considered and tested prior to finalisation and the results speak for themselves.

OTHER BRANDS I'VE WORKED WITH

I've worked with many brands over the past 12 years, whether that be refreshing their brands, rebranding, creation of style guides or other brand collateral/identity. Here are some examples of the work produced.
