FILM & ANIMATION

What is better than a picture or a drawing? One that moves.

I've been a photographer and videographer for many years and created many a short film, slideshow
and marketing video. Here is only a small selection of my work.

LOGO ANIMATION

One in 4 pregnancies result in loss. Miscarriage or stillbirth. This is incredibly devastation for families who experience this.

This film draws on what that feels like in an effort to break the taboo and start more discussion on the topic. Whilst awareness is growing of pregnancy and fetal loss, there are still so many couples who suffer silently. People we know. People we walk past in our community. Too grief stricken and hurting to talk about how they feel. And yet, they NEED to. It needs to be talked about to aid healing and raise awareness.

This 3 minute short film illustrates this invisible suffering and helps to raise awareness of the fact that there are people moving around us everyday who are in the depths of grief, yet so much of their suffering is invisible.

The film follows a woman who has just lost her baby as she walks through her first day back at work after a devastating loss, and the triggers/challenges she faces. We walk with her as she attempts to go about her normal routine - as life goes on while she still suffers......in silence.

The final piece is an emotional and powerful piece that may bring forth a few emotions.

WELCOMING MABEL

Captured in 2016, and 17 months after farewelling their first born (named Theodor), a beautiful couple welcomed a much loved baby girl. Her baby brother was stillborn in July 2015 and left the family reeling from heartbreak.

Thankfully, the universe had wonderful plans for this family. Darling little Mabel came along only 17 months later and brought much joy and laughter to this family - blessing them with the perfect rainbow after the storm.

To celebrate, wee did a short film of them settling into home with their new baby - with Dad reading to Mabel the story of "And to think that I saw it on Mulberry Street" by Dr Seuss.
